How to Breathe Underwater
IZZY is 14 and about to start Minx school—along with SHAYNE, ANYA, BELLA AND BEATRIX—where they will be taught by the fairy-like MINX to access their SHIFTS. Izzy’s good—very good, in fact—at Creation and Healing, but when she is practicing JUMPING from place to place, she accidentally lands at the home of the ambitious, grasping CULROSS and his frightening bodyguards.
Izzy’s used to a gentle life, but now she’ll be interrogated, thrown over the side of a boat, forced to fight an imaginary monster, and she’ll end up helping to dispose of a murdered body.
A story for teens who want to delve deep into their characters, for lovers of Lyra in Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials, Anne in Anne of Green Gables, Tiffany Aching in Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, and, of course, Hermione in the Harry Potter books.
